Statement from Andreas Caminada
It was a great honor for me when I received the request from Prime Video to host the Dinner Club. It was clear to me that it was a privilege to be asked in the first place as I was familiar with the Italian format and found it incredibly exciting. After all, discovering a country together with a personality and getting to know each other is also a lot of fun. Cooking for the other Dinner Club guests at the end, celebrating the host culture and being able to live out my role as host is of course very much my thing and this mixture of adventure and travel, getting to know people and cultures and creating a shared experience through cuisine is absolutely perfect.

For me, the format also came at a perfect time, we were celebrating the 20th anniversary of Schloss Schauenstein and sharing my philosophy with six exciting personalities felt natural. We are incredibly proud of all that we have created and of course we want to share it. Dinner Club was a unique opportunity. We were able to choose and travel to a country, get to know a personality, create memories and combine them with culinary experiences. This resulted in moments that you certainly won't forget in a hurry. One of the highlights for me was discovering the individual charm of the countries and, of course, the personalities. Each and every individual and every trip was absolutely unique. It was the individuality of the people, the countries and the cuisine that made them so unique. As a chef, it is extremely important to break out of the daily routine and traveling is a great tool for this. It keeps you fresh, the new impressions lead to inspiration and it's fun to get to know other chefs and cuisines. When I create a menu, taste is the most important thing. And when I travel, I discover new flavors that I might want to incorporate into a dish at a later date, without losing my own identity.

The filming locations and countries were defined together with Prime Video and the production company, taking my personal preferences into account. Together we were able to put together some incredibly exciting trips. I have incredibly fond memories of various highlights, such as riding through the Portuguese countryside on a motorcycle with Teddy or chugging through the mystical Loch Ness on a boat in the early morning cold. The Tamazcal, the rebirth ceremony in Mexico, was probably the most impressive experience.
