In Fürstenau, the smallest town in the world, the Casa Caminada restaurant is located right next to the Schloss Schauenstein restaurant and hotel, which has been awarded 3 Michelin stars and 19 Gault Millau points.
There is often a very special magic in simple things. We would like to unleash this magic in our Bündner Gasthaus. At breakfast with bread from our own wood-fired oven, at lunch with home-made capuns or at dinner by the open fire with a hearty stew.
On the foundations of two old stables, architect Gion A. Caminada has created a place of tranquillity and down-to-earth enjoyment. The original taste of Graubünden is omnipresent here. And yet chef Mathias Kotzbeck and his team are not only dedicated to the classics of Graubünden cuisine, but also create modern dishes that reflect the terroir and season. Simple and straightforward, but just as carefully prepared as in the neighboring Schloss Schauenstein. In addition to the restaurant, Casa Caminada has ten light-flooded rooms with a view of the small town of Fürstenau and the mountains, a bakery with a store and a large wood-fired oven, as well as a culinary cellar full of treasures from the region.
